This document details what happened in discussions on Loss and Damage relevant agenda items including the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG) during COP 29, which took place from the 11th to the 24th of November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan. It covers the following: 

•  The New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG);
• The launch of the Annual High-Level Dialogue on complementarity and coherence co-convened by the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage and the United Nations Secretary-General;
• The  COP 29 Presidency’s signing ceremony, “From Pledges to Action: Full Operationalization of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage”;
• Arrangements between the Conference of Parties (COP) and Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA) and the Board of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage;
• The 2024 review of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) and the Joint Report of the Executive Committee (ExCom) of the WIM and the Advisory Board of the Santiago Network; and;
• The first report of the Board of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage.
