By the Loss and Damage Collaboration

24/4/25

The first annual high level dialogue takes place in the context of a rapidly worsening climate crisis where loss and damage is already adversely affecting communities and communities of the format lines of the climate crisis in the Global South (Shutterstock / Lumppini).

The first Annual High-Level Dialogue on coordination and complementarity co-convened by the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) and the United Nations Secretary-General (HLD) will be held on the 25th of April on the margins of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings

These key messages respond to the concept note for the HLD, key issues that we have identified that the HLD must address and the information that we have to date on the arrangements for the dialogue. They are intended to inform the interventions of those participating in the HLD and those wishing to understand the significance of the dialogue and how it will be structured.
